Maurice Frydman is a Franco-Belgian artist, born in Paris in 1928 and died in Brussels in 2023. He was a draftsman, painter, sculptor and graphic designer. He studied at the Grande Chaumière in Paris (1947-1952). In 1955, he moved to Brussels. He found his inspiration in the forms of the human body, usually synthesised in a monumental way. The artist allowed himself to be absorbed by new research centered on the sublimation of the body, declined in matrix wall compositions on free or three-dimensional sheets. He led his transition from the figure to abstraction by the medium plastic and polyester , stretched, knotted, torn, exploded and finally mastered in many variations. He worked as a sculptor on bronze too. We igmarstuer and pschantiques , presents you a great bas-reliëf , abstraction from the 1970s , in fiber glass. Signed Frydman and dates ´72 on the back.
