The Egyptian style line and decorations carved on wood and gold leaf gilded place this bedside table perfectly in the historical period that was born from the fortunate military campaign of the young general Bonaparte in the land of Egypt in 1799. In the early decades of the nineteenth century furnishings then dressed in sphinxes, palmettes, caryatids etc ...
