Beautiful refined oil painting on plywood board signed and dated 1917 lower right Achille Cattaneo important painter of the Lombard scene (Limbiate 1872 - Milan 1931) Between 1888 and 1896 Achille Cattaneo attends the courses of drawing and architecture of the Academy of Brera, where he is a pupil of Emilio Gola. He dedicated himself to the view, in the wake of nineteenth-century urban painting and, in particular, reproduces church interiors and views of the Navigli. He exhibited for the first time at the Società delle belle arti of Milan, in 1900. In the Twenties he gained notoriety: in 1925 he held a personal exhibition at the Bottega di Poesia and approached the twentieth century Italian. In those years he was present at various editions of the Venice International Art Exhibition (1924.1926.1928) and at the Milan National Exhibitions of 1925 and 1927. An internationally recognized artist with excellent prices. Painting sold without frame.
