Beautiful refined oil painting on wood panel measures signed at the back Valentino Ghiglia (Florence 1903-1960). The eldest son of Oscar Ghiglia began to paint as a self-taught at home with his brother Paolo, although his father opposed both his sons to undertake the profession of painter. But such was the passion of the two brothers that the father decided to approach them in painting. He told them: "modern painting is a vibration of color, caught in special states of mind", the only source of inspiration was to be nature, trying to avoid any kind of way.
Valentino's first personal exhibition took place in 1929 at the Pesaro Gallery in Milan. After this debut he began to work hard, taking part in several trade union and intersndacal exhibitions, at the Quadriennali in Rome, Trieste and Florence. For several periods of his life he had the opportunity to stay in Spain and Paris, often also going to paint on the Breton coasts. Artist internationally recognized with excellent prices.
