Early Dutch Panel Cabinet. First half of the 17th century. (1600 – 1640) Beautiful quarter-sawn panels. The hood and the foot are equally heavy and beautifully profiled. The side posts and the centre needle have beautiful deep fluting. Beautiful balanced proportions. Beautiful example of early Dutch Renaissance.   Beautiful interior in a beautiful colour with a deep patina. Later, two shallower shelves and two drawers were added. The drawers are fitted with green felt as cutlery drawers.   Small restorations: a piece has been renuwed in the right side. (photo) The legs have been restored at the back. Zeeland 17th century Kussenkast

Beautiful Zeeland ( Sealand-Zealand, New Zealand is named after Dutch Zeeland) cushion cabinet. 
The proportions are typical for Zeeland: quite low and wide.  170 x 170 cm's. 
The hood direct above the doors without a fries is typical for Zeeland. 
Beautiful blond oak - quarter sawn in beautiful contrast with blackened wood. 
Under a wide drawer. 
Great protruding black diamonds in het doors. 
The blackened cushions have the shape of a cut diamond. 
Also borrowed from the classic Italian Renaissance. 
Flanked by a frame of 'robbellijsten' gulfed shape frame. 
Typical also fot Dutch 17th century furniture. 
Beautiful panels in the sides with refined profiles. 

Original lock and key.
Little restoration: the hind legs were restored long ago, with is usually.

A rare carpet from the north of Azerbaijan.
Dragons.
On an indigo blue field (a natural plant-based dye), we see three motifs depicting stylized dragons in a geometric manner.
In the center, double pairs of wings, and from there outward-curving dragons.
A triple border with stars and geometric shapes.
Additionally, in four rectangles, we also find a pattern featuring double, mirrored dragons.

The connoisseur hangs such a carpet on a wall.
Ersari nomad's Bochara

Ersari nomad's Bochara

Beautiful authentic Bochara.
Antique, made at least 100 years ago.
Crafted with wool from their own sheep and dyes they made themselves from local plants.
Knotted on undyed goat hair warp threads.
The octagonal shapes are called ‘Guls’.
Each tribe has or had its own distinctive Gul symbol.
This red is very beautiful, rather soft in tone and with 'abrash' – the variation in color you can see.
You don’t see one flat, uniform color but rather a hundred subtle nuances – the charm of handmade work.
Nicely worn condition. No holes.

These carpets were traditionally made by Ersari nomads.
They lived on the grasslands in Turkmenistan, between northern Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
These carpets are often attributed to Afghanistan, but as you can see above, that was only a small part of this people.
Bochara is the capital of Uzbekistan, the place along the Silk Road where these nomads sold their carpets – hence the name.

Very nice round table with a beautiful vase-shaped three-span base. 
Very nice wood. 
Rare large size: diameter 137 cm. 
The top can be folded. 
Very professionally made. 
The locking system for the top is made in such a way that the bolts automatically fall into the lock and by pulling the lever towards you the top is released again. 
Because it works less well, I made a spindle as is usual with folding tables with which you can secure the top.

Exceptionally beautifully executed Dutch three-door cabinet.

This type is already quite rare, and then also so richly and artistically executed

is very rare.

In the panels we see thinly sawn coromandel wood everywhere.

This wood looks like ebony but it has a clear pattern of wide stripes.

A precious type of wood that had to be imported from Sri Lanka.

 

Three horizontal doors placed one above the other.

Heavy duty - 5.5 cm thick edges and sturdy panels with deep bosses on the inside.

Between the doors are rails with artistic and skilled stitching.

Also on the sides under the cornice we see beautiful stitching of acanthus tendrils.

 

The sides have a beautiful framework of rails and panels with fine profiles.

 

Above the doors is a flat frieze with carvings of small arches, as we often see in 17th century Dutch cabinets.

All locks are original and so are the keys.

 

The cabinet stands on small ball feet.

That's what the legs with that volute shape are called.

Completely original. This construction already exists in the Middle Ages. It is a purely functional construction. The clamps are incorporated into the top with dovetails. 
Beautiful patina in the wood.

Nice, smoothly painted image of a fisherman with manganese purple - indicates the end of the 18th century.

Nice large size. 28 cm. High.

The pewter is marked with a master's mark.

Beautiful oak with a lovely patina.

Beautifully finished country piece, hollow corners in the base cabinet and elegant carvings in the three panels of the doors.

The carvings are clearly in Louis XV line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm">Solidly made of heavy oak.

A small drawer in the middle of the base cabinet for cutlery.

This type of cabinet is not often found.

It undoubtedly once stood in a spacious French kitchen.
